UK Foreign Secretary welcomes launch of new UK cultural programme with Saudi Arabia

The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, The Rt Hon David Miliband, MP, has warmly welcomed the launch of the new 10th anniversary Painting & Patronage programme announced last month in Wales by HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal and HRH The Prince of Wales.

In a letter to HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, the British Foreign Secretary stated "The UK Government very much shares the aims of the Programme in promoting deeper understanding of distinct and diverse cultures and traditions and I and my officials look forward to continuing to work with the Programme to further these aims".
